Alexandre’s Speed Demon
Salvatore Lombardo contacted a while ago, to craft a steel road bike for his son, a top amateur cyclist who scours Italian roads. Alexandre wanted the lightest, most efficient steel bike possible, a machine to beat his fastest times. This project was delayed multiple times, until it took a new turn with Columbus’ 100-year anniversary and the launch of the Cento tubing (more info about this here). This project then became one of the best examples of our vision of bicycles : a high-performance and environmentally-friendly road bike. The vast majority of this bike’s components are manufactured in Europe, less than 500 mi from our workshop for most.

We have selected Alexander's tube sizes according to the geometry he uses in competition, as well as stainless steel dropouts made by Paragon.
The main color is a glittery white, with a pearl-effect added to intensify its depth. It varies from very bright white in the sun, to a light gray when the brightness decreases. The glossy clear-coat was given a healthy dose of pearl-effect, to give the paint more depth and link the white and beige colors.

All the components come from Italy, including the Campagnolo Super Record 12v groupset and the new Bora WTO 45 wheels.

Stem, handlebars, seatpost and saddle are from Fizik and the tires are Vittoria Corsa Graphene2. In this guise, the Victoire Cento weighs 7.4 kg with pedals.

Alexandre already had a pair of tubular Bora 35 Ultra, so we changed the wheels on the day of delivery and we weighed the bike again: 6.8 kg, all with stock, reliable components.

Racing steel is what my bike is. A machine without any compromise to performance, that measures up against the best carbon bikes.
