Zack's Victoire n°500
In 2023, we celebrated the 500th Victoire bike built in our Beaumont workshops. For this project, we decided to work with exceptional and innovative components to produce a fully integrated bike, capable of overcoming the steepest climbs and turning the heads of the most convinced carbon enthusiasts. We were honored to be approached by Columbus to produce an exceptional bike to accompany the launch of their Trittico range of components.
Performance, innovation and lightness are at the heart of this bike, which found a happy owner as soon as it was presented at last year's MADE Show in Portland, USA.
We'd been thinking about celebrating the 500th Victoire for some time, but finding the time to make it happen was a real challenge! The opportunity arose when the Italian company Colombus contacted us to create a bike built around the Trittico series of components, launched in the summer of 2023. To celebrate our collaboration, we used the latest series of stainless steel tubes designed especially for us and in a limited edition for the tenth anniversary of our collaboration.
The Italian brand has unrivalled expertise in the production of high-resistance steel, enabling us to reduce the thickness of the tubes, and therefore the weight of the frame. Fully equipped, the Victoire n°500 weighs less than 7.5kg! Featherweight and steel comfort, it's the ideal machine for all its owner's fast outings.
The Victoire & Colombus 10th Anniversary tube series are stainless steel XCr tubes. Their shape was designed exclusively for Victoire, so this series is truly unique.
As we regularly do with stainless steel tubes, we have chosen to leave the raw color of steel visible in several places on the frame, notably on the seat tube where we have affixed our cartouche.
The dove representing Columbus, and the symbols of Victory (the laurels and the V) are found in several places on the bike.
Trittico's components are totally integrated: no cables are visible on the bike, and all passages are internal, including the stem. Beyond performance, the bike's aesthetics are refined to the max.
To complete this magnificent Italian machine, we chose another very recent component: the wireless version of Campagnolo's Super Record groupset. High-performance and lightweight, this version has only been available on the market since 2023, making the Victoire n°500 the bike equipped with the most modern components we've made.
Trittico components allow all cable routing to be integrated internally, making the cockpit area extremely uncluttered. All you have to do is add your GPS and pedal away on the asphalt roads.
To maintain this simple appearance, we used our now classic seat-tube clamp integrated into the seat stays.
The frame and components are painted black with gold and grey highlights. Classy and discreet, the Victoire n°500 has a racy, timeless look.
We presented this bike at the 2023 edition of MADE in Portland, USA. As soon as it was published online, the bike found a happy owner: Zack bought it as soon as the first photos were posted on the Internet!
After a little delay due to waiting for series components from Columbus (those initially fitted to the bike were pre-production versions), the bike was shipped to its new owner... but not without a final Tour De France: the Victoire n°500 was shortlisted by Top Vélo for the 2024 Bike of the Year Award.
