Benoît wanted a bike able to participate in cyclosportives races and of traveling over long distances. Convinced of craftsmanship, he came to meet us to create the Victoire 479, a lightweight, comfortable and versatile hiker.

Benoît's bike is equipped with a steel Unicrown fork, made in the workshop. Easily adaptable to Benoît's morphology, this system also allowed us to integrate the number of inserts desired for the different practices envisaged. Two King Cage Many things supports were installed on the fork to accommodate two small Helmut Manything side bags.

The Victoire n°479's artisanal stem was also made to measure in our workshop to perfectly match Benoît's measurements.

The rear rack was handmade by Marco, our framer, used to long cycling adventures. Its two side handles were specially made to accommodate the 20L Helmut Buhkampa bags.

Made from stainless steel rods, it is protected by a transparent varnish which reveals its artisanal manufacture.

Who says long distance says lighting, essential when driving after dark. Benoît chose a black Sinewave front lamp, equipped with a USB port for recharging an electronic device. At the rear, his choice fell on a SON lamp attached to the mudguard.

The cables for this lighting system are fully integrated into the bike.

This lighting system and the USB port are powered by a SON dynamo hub, radiated in the workshop on an aluminum Mavic Open Pro circle. Thus equipped, Benoît is totally autonomous in energy when driving !

The Victoire n°479 is fitted with WTB Byway tires of 36mm section. This tire fitting allows you to stay swift on rolling or asphalt sections while having the possibility of venturing out on the paths.

Cyfac carbon mudguards allow Benoît to stay dry no matter the weather.

The group mounted on the Benoît's Victoire is a Campagnolo Ekar group with 13 speeds. Its 40 tooth chainring associated with a 9 - 42 cassette offers versatile staging while maintaining ease of use and maintenance.

The braking system is hydraulic discs, safe and effective in all weather conditions.

The Victoire n°479 has been painted in our workshop. Frame, fork and stem are all three covered with a metallized emerald green that creates a visually coherent set.

The logos feature a metallic gray-green paint reminiscent of parts in polished aluminum, stainless steel or titanium.

As with all Victoire projects now, a marking on the seat tube indicates the number of the bike, the series of tubes used, as well as all the people involved in the realization of the bike.

Handicraft was a matter of course for me on this project. It's been more than 20 years that I cycle every day : work bike, sports outings, long hikes, mountain biking in my youth...

I came from Nantes by train to pick up my bike, with the idea of bringing it back with my legs strength. The goal was to rally a party in Chenonceau in 4 days. 550km along the Allier, and then the Loire. This first outing allowed me to test the machine, and ... what a joy ! The bike goes everywhere, and with comfort : stony pathes, mud... It is well balanced and the steel has some very interesting intrinsic qualities. Despite the load (about fifteen kilos) we drive at 30km/h without feeling it. Its equipment brings a lot of comfort to use : kickstand, Sinewave Beacon lamp, carbon mudguard, luggage rack... The 500km went easily (except the first day of 180km under the rain).

I was missing a versatile touring bike that I can use for both sport and long touring. When I heard from you several years ago, I told myself that a tailor-made solution, handcrafted in France, was the best option to achieve this result. I am proud to have a bike made in Clermont !

It's must for long distance rides : balance, comfort, performance.
