THE PROJECT

Contrary to most of our clients, Michel got into cycling only a couple of years ago :

I started two years ago, when I retired and I discovered the cyclotouring world on the Super Randonneur forum. In 2016 I went into brevets : 200, 400 and 600 kilometers, and then a 1000K in 2017. For two years now I am doing a Dodécaudax, which consists in riding at least a 200K each month.

I was looking for a framebuilder when I discovered Victoire website. I was seduced by the fillet-brazing work. I wanted a comfortable bike for long distances, capable of keeping a constant speed during hours.

We made the frame and the fork of this Victoire Bellevue according to these demands. Michel then built the parts on the bike.

FIRST FEEDBACK

Since the beginning of the year, besides the weekly rides, I did a 200, a 300 and two 400K brevets, as well as a week in the Massif Central to climb some passes. Lately, I did a 600K brevet as well as a third 400. In June, I will do a 1000 and an other 600 before riding the 1200K of the Ronde Aliénor Aquitaine.

The feelings on my Bellevue meet perfectly my requirements : a safe bike in the downhills, especially when it is loaded, comfort during the long days of saddle, and the most important for me, being able to pedal at a constant speed between 25 and 30 kph.
