TWO JOB vacancies AT VICTOIRE
In the framework of Victoire growth and the launching of Distance in 2019, we are hiring for two job vacancies in our workshop :
FRAME BUILDER : BICYCLE FRAME BUILDING
The role : : The frame builder is in charge of the building of the bicycle, from the tube machining to polishing, including welding and different adjustments. The frame builder must know how to build a mountain bike frame, as well as a tandem or a road bike frame. The role is to build the bike from start to finish, until the painting process.
Key responsibilities : The frame builder is in charge of tubes machining, tacking, welding and finishing touches before painting. Some projects require to build the fork, stem and luggage-racks as well.
Required skills : M / F from all background, has to master steel frame building (TIG welding, fillet-brazing, brazing), machining (milling, turning), bending, and has a significant experience in bike building : minimum of two years working in a similar role. Cycling is essential (road, gravel or mountain). Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in French and/or English. Hard work, attention to detail, versatility and precision are essential for this role.
PAINTER : FINISHING TOUCHES, PAINTING AND PREPARATION BEFORE MOUNTING/h3>
The role : The painter is in charge of the painting and finishing touches on the frames, forks, stems, luggage-racks and other elements produced by Victoire and Distance. The painter can use the powder coating process as well as liquid paint / bodywork./p>
Key responsibilities : The first job will be to set up the painting workshop in the Victoire facilities. Once the production line is up and running, the painter will be in charge of preparing surfaces after the quality control is done. The painter will be using different technics to cover and embellish every element before mounting.
Required skills : M / F with a bodywork/painter training, and a complete mastery of metallic tubular shape covering. A good experience in the bike industry would be a plus. Cycling is essential (road, gravel or mountain). Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in French and/or English.Hard work, attention to detail, versatility and precision are essential for this role.
